This Privacy Policy explains how DineEat, operated under Smart Solutions, collects, uses, stores and protects information when customers use the DineEat website, desktop POS, dashboards, owner applications and related services.

2. Information we may collect

• Business information such as outlet name, address, tax information and contact details.
• Account information such as names, usernames, email addresses, roles and encrypted authentication information.
• Operational information such as menu items, orders, bills, tables, kitchen tickets, payment modes and inventory records.
• Customer information entered by the restaurant, such as names, phone numbers, addresses and order history.
• Device and technical information such as device identifiers, IP addresses, application versions, error logs and synchronization status.
• Support communications and information voluntarily shared during onboarding or assistance.

4. Restaurant customer data

Restaurants using DineEat determine what customer information they enter into the system and why it is processed. Each restaurant is responsible for collecting and using its customer information lawfully and for responding to requests made by its customers.

DineEat processes this information only to provide the requested software functions and related services, subject to the customer agreement and applicable law.

5. Local and cloud data

The offline-first desktop application may store operational information locally on authorized restaurant devices. Certain information may also be synchronized with hosted systems for login, settings, backups, remote reporting and other enabled services.

Customers are responsible for physically securing their devices, controlling employee access and maintaining suitable backups where required.

6. Sharing of information

DineEat does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers only where reasonably necessary to operate, secure or support the service.

• Hosting, database and infrastructure providers.
• Email, messaging and customer-support service providers.
• Payment or online-ordering providers selected by the customer.
• Professional advisers, regulators or authorities where legally required.
• A successor organization in connection with a lawful business restructuring or transfer.

7. Data security

Reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect information. These may include authentication controls, access restrictions, encrypted connections, monitoring and security updates.

No digital system can guarantee absolute security. Customers must use strong credentials, restrict user access and keep their devices and software updated.

Information is retained for as long as necessary to provide the service, maintain business and financial records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and comply with applicable legal obligations. Retention periods may differ according to the type of information and subscribed service.
